When my five year old, Hyrum, approached my wife and said “I need to make some money to buy a train table” it all came together.

I had met Dave a few weeks earlier and he sold us a beautiful temple necklace.  Dave has a casting shop in his back yard and designs, casts and finishes unique jewelry and coins.  What if we bought the pendants wholesale and help Hyrum attach them to the necklace chains. Dave agreed to this plan so we went to work.

Hyrum himself designed the shop logo and I helped him set up the rest. Hyrum is now 6 and attending kindergarten.  His duties are to put the necklace in the bag or box and then into the envelope for shipping. Hyrum writes a personal thank you note for every order. (Beware, some of these notes have scary spiders on them:))  Hyrum has also been involved by watching us cast, helping me satin finish the pendants, attaching the pendants on the necklace chain, and even doing 3D design work.  He does have the attention span of a 6 year old boy, so he helps as much as he decides is fun for that day.
